Mama Cards!

i have a groovy new product called "mama cards"... business cards for moms, essentially. they are super cute and i'm hoping they'll be a hit. i think they're perfect for those times where you're talking to another mom that you actually get along with and want to say "hey, call me" but feel sorta weird about it... this could be kind of a talking point. anyway... a neat new thing in the world of BJO!

i came across this photo of my guys the other day and i just LOVE it! how cute is jack?? he definitely looks like jack but so different too- i forgot how bald he was for the longest time! this photo was taken 4.8.06 in nancy's old backyard in phoenix. it was jack's first experience with grass (didn't care for it) and also the first day that he sat unassisted. i love this pic... just 2 men, hangin' out...

Haley meets Dack.... and wasn't impressed.

Well, Haley finally got to see Jack in person but couldn't figure out what all the hype was about! They both played hard to get but it may have been due to the overwhelming number of chaperones. Monique and I chatted like old friends; you would never have guessed that was the first time we saw each other in person- although we've known each other for over 16 months. It was freezing down in Anthem- of course the moms remembered sweatshirts for the babies but were standing there shivering in long sleeved t-shirts. So, as sad as we were about it, we were forced to buy sweaters. : ) The dads were very helpful with slide duty and didn't complain too much about the impromptu shopping trip. Jason is an ADORABLE little boy, who is amazingly well behaved- we were very impressed.

orange no more...

it was finally time to say goodbye to the orange (ok, "chinese coral") bathroom and move onto something a little more neutral. the orange served us well for a while but it was starting to affect my corneas. here is the result...

thanks to gramps, jack is able to be a different animal every night after bath time. here are some photos as jack as a monkey, jack as a frog and jack as a duck. coming soon, jack as a puppy and jack as a monster. being a kid is great fun.

jack looked like such a big kid at lunch today. he's definitely not a baby anymore and it's hard to remember when that happened exactly.

Goergen's in Arizona

the goergen family was in AZ so i drove down to wickenburg to meet them for lunch. was a very enjoyable afternoon with lindsey, ryan, nate and MIL joyce. it's a strange little town but had some cute shops and it was about 10 degrees warmer down there so it was just about perfect weather. nate is a very well behaved boy, hopefully we'll live closer one day so i can get some mothering tips from linds.

hard worker

it took jack a long time to dig up all this dirt but we paid him a nickel an hour and let him have as many smoke breaks as he wanted. it's good for kids to work while they're young, teaches them the value of hard work.
