my latest brag...

i'm so excited to finally be able to share these! i made them a while ago but it was for my friend's daughter's birthday (and a bonus one for older sis because i knew she would be sad if she didn't get one since butterflies are her favorite) so i couldn't post about it! i've been DYING to show them off!! i think they turned out soooo cute. it's an adaptation of the "pillowcase dress"... i didn't use pillowcases though, i used fabric. depending on the height of the child it can either be worn as a dress or a shirt. these lovely ladies are on the taller side so it's kind of a longer shirt on them. CUUUUUUTE!

re-purposing...

i thought i talked about my love of re-purposing here but i guess i haven't yet! if you're unfamiliar with the term, it's basically taking something you already have and don't use and giving it new life. check out some of my projects...

dada's old grey t-shirt + a monkey from one of mama's old shirts = jack pants...

jack's old receiving blankets = cloth wipes for oliver...

mama's old wool sweater that doesn't fit anymore = cloth diaper cover/pants for oliver...

mama's old tie dye shirt, lovingly worn for many years = pants for oli...

A is for Aspen

i've been making these letters for all the kid's birthdays recently and i always forget to take a pic before i give it to them! here is the one i made today for laura's daughter aspen, who is turning one. it started off a little too girly for my liking so i distressed it a bit. i made a great one for jessica's son colton, i'll have to remember to take a pic of it the next time i'm at their house.

another new product

i added another new product to the BJO website... scrapbook pages. i finally started working on some pages for jack and thought maybe they would interest my customers too...? we'll see. i really like digital scrapbooking.... i tried to get into traditional paper scrapping but found it way too time consuming and costly... plus, i'd spend all sorts of time on something and i wouldn't like how it turned out! at least with digital you always have the delete button! : )
